Welcome to Houston Bikeways
The City of Houston’s Bikeways Program is here to help you reach your destination by bike. In 2013, the League of American Bicyclists awarded Houston the Bicycle Friendly Communities Bronze Award. The Houston Bikeways Program is a partnership among the Public Works & Engineering, Planning & Development, Parks & Recreation and Health & Human Services Departments and often coordinates with METRO, Houston Parks Board, Houston-Galveston Area Council and other partners. The program aims to make Houston a safer, healthier, and more bike-friendly city.
